{"id":154,"date":"2012-10-15T13:35:42","date_gmt":"2012-10-15T17:35:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.orlandorocketry.com\/?p=154"},"modified":"2026-03-20T06:36:21","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T10:36:21","slug":"photos-from-the-october-nefar-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orlandorocketry.com\/?p=154","title":{"rendered":"Photos from the October NEFAR Launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve uploaded photos I took at the October, 2012,\u00a0NEFAR launch to the <a title=\"NEFAR October Launch\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rocketreviews.com\/october-2012-launch.html\">RocketReviews.com Photo Album<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rocketreviews.com\/201210131125-000jpg.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Mega Mosquito Launch\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rocketreviews.com\/image-201210131125-000jpg-600-600-101412152914507.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m still recovering from a broken toe, so I didn&#8217;t bring anything to fly.\u00a0 But, I enjoyed watching others launch their rockets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rocketreviews.com\/201210131130-000jpg.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Phoenix Launch\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rocketreviews.com\/image-phoenix-launch-600-600-101912131715495.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"428\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Near the start of the launch, I changed a setting on my camera and forgot to change it back. So, many of the photos are grainy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rocketreviews.com\/201210131320-001jpg.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Two-Stage Motor Failure\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rocketreviews.com\/image-two-stage-failure-600-600-102212133315451.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"369\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But, I did manage to capture some interesting shots including the above which shows a two-stage high-power rocket suffering a failure of the booster motor.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rocketreviews.com\/201210131320-007jpg.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Two-Stage Failure\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rocketreviews.com\/image-two-stage-failure-600-600-102512130315174.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"341\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The second stage, unfortunately, ignited.
